Once upon a tomato dancer

Ok, so I don't know if any of you have seen this but it's new to me and so beyond awesome.
Last year Sarah Bunting raised $100,000 for DonorsChoose.org (an organization bringing school supplies to our classrooms) by promising donors that she'd go to work (at the Rockefeller Center in NYC)...dressed as a tomato. hehe

It makes me smile and laugh and feel good. I think we could use a few more dancing tomatoes on the streets. As for me, I'm wondering how I would look as an asparagus.

It's amazing how one person can raise so much for doing so little. It makes me wonder why so many charities are still struggling for money =(. But, it also inspires me to go and dress myself as some broccoli!

I know, right!! Like, what a cool dorky slightly humiliating but crazy-fun way to do a little good in the world. All that money raised, and not to mention all the people in the streets whose days were undoubtedly brightened (whose good moods in turn probably brightened the days of co-workers and family) ... gosh. All from one tomato dancer. Ripple effect for the win!

Anyway, you'd totally rock the broccoli look.
